Reflecting on Purpose and Legacy: Doing the Work with Courage and Integrity

At the end of it all, when the final sentence has been written and the last page is bound, one question remains: did you do your work? And not just any work—did you do it with courage and integrity? Did you infuse it with your unique style and presence, honoring the people and traditions that shaped you? Did you carry out each action with the future in mind, creating a legacy for those who will come after you?

These are questions that echo within me daily. Building The Clearing Community Center isn’t just about creating a physical space; it’s about crafting a legacy that reflects my values and those of our community. Each choice, every challenge, and all the joy along this journey are met with a conscious effort to embody courage, integrity, and purpose.

I want the answer to be yes—a resounding, unwavering yes. Yes, I did my work with the awareness of those who paved the way before me, with the hope that my actions will uplift those who follow. Yes, I chose the right path, even when it was hard. The road is rocky, no doubt, but together, we’ve got this.

I hope that as we continue building this space together, each of us can reflect on our own journeys, asking ourselves these same questions and striving to answer with our own “yes and amen.”

Call to Action: Join us at The Clearing Community Center, a place built on purpose, integrity, and community. Let’s do this work together, building something meaningful for today and for the generations to come.
